Banana Bread –

3 Bananas
1/3 cup plus 1 Tbsp Shortening (I use Butter)
½ Tbsp Baking Soda
¾ cup Buttermilk
1 ½ cup Sugar
½ tsp Salt
¾ cup White Wheat Flour
¾ cup Kamut Flour
¾ cup White Flour
¾ cup Chopped Nuts *optional

Cream the bananas, shortening (or Butter), Baking Soda, Buttermilk & Sugar together. Add Flours, Salt & Nuts.
I bake mine in a greased 9 X 13” cake pan and baked 40 – 45 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean & it bounces back to light finger pressure.
