Chili & Taco Meat

For these 2 recipes, just prepare as you usually do,Cook & Season and then add in whatever grain you want. VERY EASY. Add as much or as little as you want to.

Remember Millet works great because it takes on the flavor and color of whatever you put it with. It also sort blends in, in case you are sneaking

I added precooked Spelt ,Red Quinoa and Millet to the Chili and the Taco Meat.

  1. I cooked up 1/2 cup of millet to try it. It made over 4 cups cooked. I snuck it into just about everything I made that week and no one in my family seemed to notice. Except when I put it in the chilli. My son asked what I'd done differently because it was soooo good that night!

  3. Thanks for sharing. I LOVE it!! That is such a great illustration of how MUCH the grains "grow" when cooked. A rather small bag of grain for several dollars looks much more affordable when you picture it cooked and realize it will be 3 to 4 TIMES BIGGER! I love that no one in your family even noticed!! But my absolute FAVORITE thing is that your son thought your chili was BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE!! Woo Hoo!! Go Grains!
